We are a family-run service, and are hugely proud to have been operating for over thirty years. We connect the beautifully serene Hayling Island with the great waterfront city of Portsmouth. During the summer months we are very busy conveying tourists and day-trippers to both sides of the water. Throughout the whole year, we are a vital service for commuters and schoolchildren alike.
Our fleet consists of two vessels. 'The Pride of Hayling' is a twenty tonne aluminium vessel with a capacity of sixty-three passengers. 'Tina Marie' can carry twelve passengers and in her previous life was a service vessel for HMS Illustrious.
We are able to faciliate prams and pushchairs, pedal bikes and motorbikes, wheelchairs and dogs. We've even taken a horse over! Large groups are welcome. Each year we are pleased to welcome onboard hundreds of cyclists taking part in a charity bike ride for The British Heart Foundation and we support many other charitable efforts too.
On the Eastney (Portsmouth) side, the bus number 15 operated by First Group is timetabled to meet the ferry's passengers. Its route through Southsea terminates at the ever-popular Gunwharf Quays.
We are extremely proud to be a part of the UK Cycle Network! Learn more:
